The world of the Environmentally Friendly – A Look at the Recycling Logo
Given the fact that many people are passionate about protecting the Earth and using its resources sustainable way, many individual from entrepreneurs to politicians have tried to ride the momentum and use it for their advantage. Recycling is one of the most common expressions of this desire to use the Earth’s resources more effectively.
And to make recycling even more popular and widely used among households, organizations and governments have been working via branding to make it more popular. To the core of any branding campaign is the logo. It acts as the cornerstone for other marketing tools to build upon.
The mobius loop is perhaps the most recognizable symbol when it comes to recycling. It can be found on everything from plastic bottles to coke cans indicating that they can be recycled. It is an internationally recognized symbol and is essentially made up of 3 arrows chasing each other in a triangular path to complete the triangle. Just like commercial logos, the mobius loop can be found in a lot of places from environment related advertisements on television and newspapers to bins and other places designated for collection of recyclable stuff.
There are three kinds of recycling logos, with dark background, light background or a % sign. Recycling helps reduce pollution and help the environment. At the same time it means more cost savings to you and better health for yourself and the next generation.
