This logo is very catchy in nature because it is colorful. Olympics logo has never been changed and designers just add year and place in their parent logo according to the years that Olympics fall.
Simple:
An ideal logo is that which is simple in nature and conveys your messages at once. Nike is the best example of that and they have just used a “tick” mark for their logo and creating a very positive impact.
Logos are basically the communicating short cuts between you and your customers. They should be free of sizes meaning that it shouldn’t affect its length in any situation. Logos need to be able to look the same no matter how big they are.
Unforgettable:
After making your logo simple and attractive, the next thing is to make it memorable. You can make your logo memorable by using simple fonts like not to use more than two fonts in your logo and try to make the color scheme not that much funky. For the clarity of your logos its better to use sans serif fonts.
Flexible:
Logo must be so flexible that you can play with it and you can add tag line according to your products. For corporate logos it is better to have vector logos because this will not damage your resolution and can be used in both horizontal and vertical form.

Logos must be stable in nature because if you keep on changing your logos so it will create confusion and will be frustrating for your customers. Coca Cola is the best example of that and they have never played with their logo as compared to Pepsi.
