Color Psychology in Logo Design
Just imagine this world with out any color or just try to think how world look would like if we diminishes all colors from it? I am sure definitely it will be giving dead look and meaningless world. Colors are very important part of our life and we have different association with different colors and bondage too. For particular occasions we have specific colors but they vary from one culture to another. Asians has a tradition to have bright color like red or maroon in their weddings but in Western world we mainly see white dress. So similarly colors are also important in logo designing because they speak for your company so they should communicate well with your audience.
For example, red light mixed with yellow light creates an orange color. A color resulting from a mix of two other colors is known as a metamer. Some colors, such as yellow and purple, cancel each other out when mixed and result in a white light. These competing colors are known as complements.
Just have a look at the showcase along with the description of color and background of logo:

As you can see these colors can be found in logos we know and recognize. Often the designer has considered the meaning of the colors when choosing the palette for the logo. Next time you’re designing a logo remembers to ponder the meaning of the colors you choose and do so wisely. Just remember, color psychology consists of culturally created ties that can change over time and location. It is by no means an exact science and is still largely based on anecdotal evidence.
Colors in the red area of the color spectrum are known as warm colors and include red, orange, and yellow. These warm colors evoke emotions ranging from feelings of warmth and comfort to feelings of anger and hostility. Colors on the blue side of the spectrum are known as cool colors and include blue, purple, and green. These colors are often described as calm, but can also call to mind feelings of sadness or indifference.
I hope you like that and will be looking to hear from your end. I will appreciate your views. If you want another creative but inspiring list of logos and reviews of company logos, leave a comment or subscribe to our RSS feed. You can also follow us on Twitter and Face book ! ![]()
